“Soft close” is not enough information
Soft-close is a useful feature, but it does not tell you who made the runner, how much it can carry, what drawer dimensions it suits or whether replacement parts will be available.
In a premium bathroom, the hardware should be treated as part of the handover record. Record the manufacturer, product family, length, load class and any relevant adjustment or removal instructions.
Why this matters later
Drawers may need adjustment after the cabinet settles, a front may need to be removed to reach a trap or a runner may eventually need replacement. A known system gives the installer a starting point. A generic runner hidden behind a fixed front turns a small repair into an investigation.
The same principle applies to hinges, push-to-open mechanisms, lighting drivers and specialist basin connectors.
A parts list protects the design
The visible bathroom may be custom, but its hidden components should not be anonymous. A short parts list can include the drawer system, basin, mixer, waste, trap, hinges, finish and electrical drivers.
This is particularly valuable when a project uses imported products or when the bathroom is handed to a new owner.
