A wall-hung toilet appears to float from the finished wall, but the tile is not carrying the load. The WC is supported by a compatible frame, anchors and the structure behind the wall. The visible ceramic is only the final part of the assembly.

The frame carries the load

The frame must be selected for the installation type and fixed to suitable structure. Masonry, drywall and service-wall construction need different preparation and anchoring details.

The wall finish is not a substitute for backing

Tiles and adhesive create a clean surface, but they cannot correct a poorly supported frame. The installation should be checked before the wall is closed and finished.

Finished height must be planned

The frame height, floor build-up, tile thickness and WC model determine the final seat height. A small error before tiling becomes difficult to correct after the wall is sealed.

Test before closing the wall

Confirm pan support, waste connection, cistern operation, flush plate, access and leaks before covering the frame. A concealed system should not be closed simply because the pipework is no longer visible.

Do not transfer a load rating casually

A stated capacity belongs to the exact frame and installation method. It should not be used as a general promise for every wall-hung WC system.
