Work around the services instead of abandoning the drawer
The basin waste and trap usually occupy the part of the vanity where the most convenient drawer would be. A sink pull-out or U-shaped drawer creates a recess around the services and preserves storage on either side.

The plumbing still needs to be drawn first
The drawer should be planned around the actual basin, waste, trap and supply connections. If the pipework moves after fabrication, the drawer may no longer clear the services or may need a visible late modification.
The cabinetmaker should also confirm how the drawer is removed for access and whether the service void remains large enough for inspection.
Useful storage is better than a decorative front
A vanity can look substantial while losing its most accessible space to a fixed panel. A correctly specified sink drawer turns some of that lost area into practical storage for daily items.
