Advanced flush technologies such as TurboFlush are designed around the shape of the ceramic and the way water enters and moves through the pan. They should be compared by measured performance and by what each one asks of you to own.
Ceramic geometry matters
The pan shape, rim design, water entry and trapway all influence cleaning and flushing. A branded technology may work differently across product ranges, so the exact model needs to be identified.
Compare water use and performance
Check the specified flush volumes, the available dual-flush settings, the required cistern and the manufacturer’s performance information. Lower volume is not automatically better if the drainage route or flushing behaviour is unsuitable.
Noise is part of the experience
A powerful flush can create more sound through the pan, pipework and wall. The selected system, sound insulation and drainage layout should be considered in a main ensuite or apartment.
Cleaning is still required
Improved water distribution does not remove mineral deposits or the need for routine cleaning. The benefit is a better-designed pan. It still needs cleaning.
Match the complete system
Confirm the pan, cistern, frame, flush plate, waste connection, seat and spare parts. A premium flush technology cannot compensate for an incompatible concealed system.
